Brass Ensemble

Marcus, Cory, Brock and Austin at Auburn Riverside High School for a band competition. They sounded great! They received a "superior" rating, which is a "1", and is the best score. The man in the one picture is the one that judged the groups and he was taking a minute to give them comments.

Archery

My schedule has been pretty packed with the addition of coaching track (part-time assistant), I thought I was going to get out mountain biking tonight but it didn't work out. The crew was too far out in Gig Harbor to get there in time, so Blake and decided to go do some archery!

Master Shon's In-House Tournament

Marcus went to his second TKD tournament, a small one in Auburn. He did Forms (Poomse), Board Breaking, and Sparring. He got medals in all and won his grouping in sparring. He was out fast, kicking like crazy and was pretty dominant. He got some points scored on him late in round one, in his first match because he was so tired he could hardly stand. That was from coming out so hard and fast! He did really well and got a big confidence boost. The second picture is his team mate, Simon. He is one of the better kids at TKDC, he lost his match here, but this pic shows a definite point scored, that wasn't counted. This would have tied the match at the end. Fun to watch the higher belts, these guys are a couple years ahead of Marcus and Blake.

This was at Master Shon's TKD In-House Tournament over the weekend. Pretty impressive.

Tae Kwon Do Belt Testing

The boys were testing for Green to Green Stripe, and Green Stripe to Blue. They did very well!
