Master Shon's Tae Kwon Do Tournament

Marcus at Master Shon's Tae Kwon Do Tournament in Federal Way. Marcus was 2nd in his group for board breaking and 2nd in his group for sparring. Very good! He had to take two tries on the last board, but his form and quickness was good. In sparring his first opponent was really timid, probably his first time sparring, and Marcus had a hard time connecting because the kid kept backing up. Marcus eventually got 5-0 on him. It was an awkward match. The final round was with the same kid that Marcus lost to in his first sparring competition 6 months ago. That time Marcus got knocked out by score about 45 seconds into the first round. This time Marcus came out very aggressive, survived the first round at 1-5. (a gap of 7 points stops the match). Marcus got hurt during this round a hard shot to the arm and another to the side of the face (supposed to be no head shots, but it happens). Marcus came out and battled it out for a final score of 6-9. A loss, but he actually won the second round 5-4. I was really proud of the way he came back from being hurt and fought hard the whole time, especially when this kid put him out so fast in their previous match up. Marcus was a tough-guy today!

3-D Glasses

After watching How to Train Your Dragon. Great movie!

SunRiver for Spring Break

Blake did a great job making banana splits for us, the boys were comparing their Pokewalkers, and Karen getting some running in. I managed to run 5 days straight without a blown calf or achilles, pretty good!

Game Boy

This is from a couple of years ago, I had forgotten to post it.

Poke-Walker

I love that Nintendo is making these things that promote exercise! This is a little interactive pedometer, they get points the more the walk, run and bounce around and then it interacts with their DS Game. Cool.

Easter

The boys heading off the deck for Grandpa Butch's Egg Hunt, and Wicket finding something to chew on!
